I believe that if we do not adjust for the exponential growth of our species (human), then we will not be able to sustain growth economically or intelligently. That being said, I believe that we need to, at local and state levels, decide what is the correct course. I do not believe ANY organization outside of our own country should be mandating what we do. With Agenda 21, it's being adopted at local/state levels, a lot of people aren't aware that it is Agenda 21 because it isn't called as such, it's usually a "comprehensive plan" or some other garbage. Are you fine with local or state government being "big government"? I think youre grasping. Just because something is similar, that doesnt make it the same. I see no problem with taking something that works, whether it be from a neighboring state, or a far away country, and utilizing it to benefit ourselves. To the second part of your question, no. I do not favor big government in any aspect, local or federal. I would actually work to privatize a lot of the federal workforce. Mainly because, as federal workers, they seem to have zero motivation, drive or desire to do their job with a sense of urgency. Renaming something does not make it any different, though the only thing different is the omission of the name "Agenda 21". As far as big government in any aspect goes, your statement contradicts itself. Big government not only deals with the workforce, but the government telling you what citizens can and cannot do. Sustainability plans essentially do this, so while it may not be Fedgov dictating, it will be local and/or state. Loss of property rights, for one. What party would you consider yourself most affiliated with, if any? |
