There's enough natual variation in surface temperatures that if you cherry-pick your start and end dates carefully enough, you can prove whatever you want. The actual facts are:

- The last 15 years are the 15 warmest years on record for surface temperature.
- The oceans are warming even faster than the surface.
- Arctic Sea ice is vanishing at a prodigious rate.

The bottom line is not to believe anyone who points to a single chart and tries to say that global warming isn't happening. Look at all the evidence.
