Was it Jesus that said he would crack the sky? If it was could it be a metaphor for something else?

This is what I have been told

“Jesus is going to come back like a thief in the night when you least expect it”

“He is going to crack the sky and every eye will see him”

And the rapture as well

“Everyone who is saved is going to be caught up” or “The good will disappear off the face of the earth and the wicked will stay”

Could this be talking about a possible cataclysm on earth or something? Like something is going to happen so bad that every eye is going to see it. I am thinking it will be an asteroid or even worse a gamma ray burst close to our solar system because then everyone would see that and the effects would be disastrous. Now thinking of the sky the reason we see a blue sky I think has something to do with the ozone or atmosphere which is why the sky is blue. That is why I am leaning more towards a gamma ray burst because I think that would literally crack the sky being looked at as blue and would be red And could also go with the “when you least expect it” because we can’t predict a gamma ray burst. We wouldn’t know a gamma ray burst happened until were in the moment.

Now the “Everyone who is saved is going to be caught up” that sounds to me more like an alien invasion of some sort or mass abduction like hypothetically speaking say if there is alien race out there that put us humans on the planet and they came back for us. That would go along with that statement but I don’t know religion is confusing I always try to crack the code then always find myself back at square one to start all over again
