I used to support the Bronies in theory, because I thought it was hypocritical of me not to. I'm a woman and I only watched cartoons aimed at boys, didn't play with dolls just action figures when I was a kid.

But I got to know Bronies online and they are a frighteningly rapey and perverted bunch. Its another division of FURRIES and nothing more. They have sexualized every aspect of this cartoon. They are worse than the anime perverts of the late 90s, no joke.

And remember I was accepting of them initially and had an open mind to not be critical of them, and I STILL came to this conclusion. Its a fetish, they aren't anymore friendly or peace loving in reality than men who gorge themselves on violent stuff. They are just more self riteous about their fandom and identity is all.

This disturbs me about as much as people who watch and fascinate about sports.

I am not being sarcastic. I never understood why a grown man would want to watch other grown men in tights/shorts play contact games designed for children. In these videos, I don't see any of that. (tight clothing, touching, etc.)

They like the community. "Bro" -nies.

However, it's also just about harmless fun to like the show! When I go to the movies I try to avoid watching violent movies and stuff with evil in it, the show MLP is much easier to watch. Even though it does have some sorcery/magic in it which I consider evil, and it lacks God, but it is not nearly as disturbing as 90% of the other crap they show on TV, etc... So that's what it comes down to!

Why would a grown man be obsessed with cartoon ponies unless they were gay or disabled? Sorry but that can't possibly be just a "trend".

Because it's fun (the show, not being a brony, fuck knows about that.I'm guessing they range from fans to insane creepy people,which as usual the radicals give the rest a bad name) and not grim-dark for the sake of grim-dark? (Y'know, so grim-dark "reaL" that it's not even real anymore it's so grim-dark). It's culture rubber band snapping back from from grim-dark to light and fluffy. Only saw one episode but it seems fun and quite funny, enjoyable. If you can't enjoy a good cartoon, what is wrong with you? Grandparents/father etc.like cartoons, but there's some sorta gen now that seems to see all cartoons as "for children" rather than their true audience "all ages".
