Damascus- The Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his family left presidential palace to Abumarnah district in central Damascus, Syria military forces said.

“Bashar al-Assad and his family left Syrian presidential palace after Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces’ attacks and went to Abumarnah region,” Al-Nahara Jadidah quoted the military forces.

There were earlier reports that Assad and his family have left Syria to an unknown place.

The report says president special forces have blocked the streets to Abumarnah in order to protect Assad and his family from any possible attack.
