You see what the cop did? He took his thumb and placed it under his ear and kept hitting it (pressure point). This is a cool move, but can render someone in pain for a little while. It's the same spot you can easily knock someone out at with a good punch. But if you stick your thumb there, it's just pain like crazy for a few minutes.
