Anonymous Coward User ID: 21201441 United States 11/20/2012 02:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I borrowed a friends nice camera with zoom lens last summer, and would take sky photos, day and night, some quite interesting and odd. Once, at night, I thought I would just shoot at the sky, the dark, empty sky, nothing but a few, faint stars, and black. So, I took some pics, pointing at random parts of the sky, away from the moon. Finally, I went in to load my photos. Now, my zoom lens wasn't going to make stars look big or anything like that, just gave you a bit of a boost. Stars just show up as white specks, anyway. I loaded the photos, and began to edit them as I do. Adjusting the shadows up or down, which on the black sky photos, only meant adding light to the shot, since it was already so dark. I did quite a number of them, and found something really interesting on two frames - something that was not at all visible to the eye or the camera, but had enough glow to it to come out on the film when lightened up. It was as if the camera was able to pick up on the light they gave off, but it vanished against the night sky. None of my other photos even showed much of any tiny white star specks, which is why these stood out. Here they are: IMAGE ( [link to i48.tinypic.com] ) IMAGE ( [link to i48.tinypic.com] ) |
