Re: What was Jesus response when Pilate asked him "what is truth"
(1991.5) 185:3.5 Then said Pilate, half in ridicule and half in sincerity, “Truth, what is truth — who knows?”

(1991.6) 185:3.6 Pilate was not able to fathom Jesus’ words, nor was he able to understand the nature of his spiritual kingdom, but he was now certain that the prisoner had done nothing worthy of death. One look at Jesus, face to face, was enough to convince even Pilate that this gentle and weary, but majestic and upright, man was no wild and dangerous revolutionary who aspired to establish himself on the temporal throne of Israel. Pilate thought he understood something of what Jesus meant when he called himself a king, for he was familiar with the teachings of the Stoics, who declared that “the wise man is king.” Pilate was thoroughly convinced that, instead of being a dangerous seditionmonger, Jesus was nothing more or less than a harmless visionary, an innocent fanatic.

(1991.7) 185:3.7 After questioning the Master, Pilate went back to the chief priests and the accusers of Jesus and said: “I have examined this man, and I find no fault in him. I do not think he is guilty of the charges you have made against him; I think he ought to be set free.” And when the Jews heard this, they were moved with great anger, so much so that they wildly shouted that Jesus should die; and one of the Sanhedrists boldly stepped up by the side of Pilate, saying: “This man stirs up the people, beginning in Galilee and continuing throughout all Judea. He is a mischief-maker and an evildoer. You will long regret it if you let this wicked man go free.”

He probably said, if you do not know what truth is then i cannot explain. for truth is in love and you must have love to understand truth. for they both come hand and hand.

Jesus gave him the answer prior to Pilate's rhetorical question!

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Re: What was Jesus response when Pilate asked him "what is truth"
Really? my answer is best because truth is indefinable. No one knows the truth, and no one knows which way the wind blows. It blows in a circle. Truth is the garden. But truth is also left up to the people, who define it. We have the ability to create other universes after life on earth has been extinguished. Truth is what we make it. Truth is nothing, really. Like the wind.

Re: What was Jesus response when Pilate asked him "what is truth"
Pilate is sitting there in all his glory, looking into the eyes of the only sinless man who has ever walked on earth, but not only a man, but the very God of heaven, all knowing and all seeing. He came to die and no one was going to stop His plan from before the foundation of the world to save His people.

Jesus was not going to answer him, how could he? Pilate could not see because He had not been called into that Kingdom, if he had, he would have been able to answer his own question

Pilate had sought this answer through all the philosophy of his time, and most of mens philosophy only questions but never answers in the affirmitive.

He was not as the Christians were, so sure so knowing - not by their own knowledge, but by the power of the Holy Spirit, that they would rather die than recant the Truth for a lie, or now days, for an ecumenical wishy washy Jesus that just wants to hug everyone and there really is no sin, just a bad day and make up their own Jesus to bless them in their chosen sins - after all, others have done worse it seems

Ask any true Christian this question, they know the answer. Jesus - Pilate would have known, if he were one of His

Re: What was Jesus response when Pilate asked him "what is truth"
The wind ....blows wherever it wishes is the breath of life, and a small portion of this breath(wisdom) is all it takes to touch a man and so that he can piece together the garments of his life, and take himself away from the thieves who greedilly steal and suck life from man and make it hard, so that he was not able to take back his power from the tyrannical oppressor.

We need this wind. This wind is the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Truth.

Re: What was Jesus response when Pilate asked him "what is truth"
humans ...for the most part have no desire for the truth...that is why they are here.

humans want competition, debate, pleasure, pain, vanity, greed, tragedy, blame, right vs wrong, good vs evil...they want to point a finger and they detest having the finger pointed at them. ...

they want to destroy evil and to enable sin. they want to play games and live in a lie. they want to build dreams and destroy each other. they want CONFLICT even tho they scream peace. They live a lie and love it.

truth?

NONE of the above is even remotely relative to the truth.

truth is not relative to what happens here on this planet.

Christ could not address the truth . None could even BEGIN to understand it.

ok. back to your illusion.

Jesus couldn't say anything because of his freemasonic rites he received. Freemasons are under penalty of death if they reveal any secrets.

Truth is what is found to be true.

what is found true today could be found false tomorrow. Truth is not literal it is a understanding of the world, With love you will awaken to the real truth of the world and able to see the truth. As you feed your soul with the oil of truth it will light the world. With this light you can understand the truth more and more. Truth is we are all gods children and we are all brothers and sisters, and to only think your brother or sister is the biological person you are related to then you are wrong. we should help our brothers with ever penny, and thing we can do for them. Because this world is made by god it is a giant illusion a test if you will. So god can see who truly has enuff love in there heart to find truth and pass this test and get the keys to heaven to be with the king of kings. We could never be worthy for this honor but god loves us sooo much he died for us so we could get the chance to walk side by side with him, hug him and be his child in heaven. This is a love which we can only wish to see one day and the only way is to feel the light of our soul with love and with this we could light up the world to see the truth, and with the truth we can get the keys to Gods Kingdom.

Did Jesus even understand Pilate? Did they speak the same language? Oh, sorry, I forgot. Jesus was magic so he could speak all languages fluently, I guess.

To find Truth you must be nothing. To admit we know nothing, opens the door to Truth. To recieve the key, you must repent, and ask the Father to teach you the Truth, then by being humble, He will send Wisdom to you.
