First, because they are sheeple.

Most humans are programmed to "believe" that anyone in the medical industry is some sort of god who knows everything.

Many are just too lazy to think or advocate for themselves.

And often, when people are sick and in pain, their vulnerability and fear propels them - and that's what the medical industry counts on.

Like the government, the AMA and big pharmas love dumbed-down sheeple and they prey, unconscionably, on the weak and frightened and vulnerable.

Doctors and dentists,at least in the US,are the worst kind of predators. Their prey are the sick and injured who put their trust in these villains.The will pump you full of poison to keep you ill because their livelihood depends on you be sick, not well. Dentists will drill into healthy teeth and declare that they've found all these new cavities or suddenly you need a root canal on a tooth that was fine just six months ago. They don't want you being healthy and do everything in their power to make sure you never are.

A few years ago I found a wonderful chinese acupuncturist and I've never felt better. No more pain, no more high blood pressure. I haven't been back to a western doctor since.

Just think -- Starting in 2014, you will be FORCED to pay for an insurance plan to help underwrite that crappy industry or pay a fine.

I was hit by the flu Monday :( I've been listening to you about the D3 and I was only down with a fever for about 24 hours.

I took my D3, some silver and the peroxide in my ears and I feel better - not great, but well enough to be cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

As an advocate of alternatives, the truth is, there are times when some people have no option but to seek traditional treatments, especially in dentistry for instance, because there is NOTHING a person can do in the case of a decayed tooth except seek assistance from a dentist.

The key, if possible, is in finding medical practitioners who are competent, follow the rules of proper hygienic practices, who believe in conservative approaches and do not push you toward expensive and unnecessary (and possibly dangerous) procedures, and are not pill-pushers. And it is extremely important that they are willing to engage in a give-and-take dialogue and never get upset about questions . . . I would tell anyone that if a physician/dentist gets upset or angry when you ask questions, turn and run like hell in the other direction.

Why do I follow my doctors recommendation?

Because he/she knows more about how to deal with health problems.

Why do I follow my lawyers recommendation?

Because he/she knows more about how to deal with legal problems.

Why do I follow my automechanics recommendation?

Because he/she knows more about how to deal with car problems.

There are so many natural ways to stay healthy, you just have to do a bit of homework.

Lawyers have their place but I'm not running to ours every year like my grandparents did.

We do our own work on our vehicles. I don't trust mechanics to do things right plus I save a bunch of money.

Doctors often say they give 'orders' when in fact it is just a doctor's advice. It is usually a good idea to listen to their advice, then make your own decision which may not be what they advised.

The same is true of the dentist, lawyer, and auto mechanic.

I agree, theu are dumb, lazy & want someone else to make all their decisions for them.

Ask any person who takes 13 meds a day, what are they for? They don't even know. Their doctor says "Take this pill" and they do. Never questioning what the pill is for or how long they should take it.

They are numbed out of their brains, unable to think clearly, have a hard time getting through the day, are depressed...

and they call US weird for eating healthy food and avoiding the drug pushing doctors.

And most likely will be forced into having a physical exam every year or get another fine.

That means mamograms & other tests, vaccinations for the people who want to AVOID these things. What do we do?

Acupuncture cured my sciatica. Doctors, chiropractors, even a neurologist ALL wanted to do surgery. It was awful. Had to sleep with a chair in my bed for my legs to lay up on and drive with my left foot, even 7 ton trucks. Then after years of intense pain, acupuncture, along with healing massage cleared it completely, No drugs. No surgery. Just relaxing needles and a couple of massages.

I prefer doctors who practice BOTH natural and "traditional" medicine. I'm in the NW Phoenix area for a little while and I've never experienced health care this terrible. Awful. Scary. I could write a book. They push more pills than I thought was possible for a person to take. I know one guy on 18 scripts a day. More than a few people on 4 to 5 anti-depressants, that are always adjusting them up and down and going through hell. There's a *health care system" here that I won't name that is insane. I'm not being over-dramatic. I've been prescribed wrong meds several times and once blew out an eardrum because of the snotty assistant who didn't listen. One neighbor got a staff infection from the hospital, one was sent home with a bleeding femoral artery, another had her throat torn during arthroscopic surgery and almost died from soup and fluids draining into her chest. And then they found she didn't need the surgery in the first place. They dosed me on morphine without telling me in the ER. Used a bandage that the nurse had stuck to the leg of her scrubs after drawing blood. I'll stop there for brevity.

There's only a couple of naturopathic doctors here and they didn't seem that competent. People here think that kind of medicine is voodoo or something.

I could write a book about B****R Health Care and how impossible they are to work with. They even screwed up my colonoscopy. It's one of my reasons for leaving this area. Besides 5 months of 120+ temperatures and Roundup sprayed around everything like a rainstorm.

I'll keep my legal situation with them private right now. But when it's over...

I am mad as hell about this, and don't want no part of it at all.

No kidding. And of course the insurance won't pay for "alternative medicine". Which works great WITHOUT expensive prescriptions and invasive, unneeded hospital procedures.
