The road will go from clear to blind fog in a matter of seconds because of the elevation I guess. I stayed in the truck lane and followed the flashing lights, but it was terrifying. |

It's true, some drivers are not fazed in the least by fog. I can't even imagine why someone would drive that fast under those conditions. SUV soccer moms are some of the most careless and irresponsible drivers in this country. I think many of them have a sense of entitlement anyway, and then they get behind the wheel of a large vehicle and they think they rule the road. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19755366 It's the fucking idiots that forget how to drive and are doing 60 on the highway that cause this shit. Dumbasses Isn't 100 km/h equal to around 62 mph? So you're saying that others driving 60 mph cause the problems? Where's your logic? At any rate, it is irresponsible to drive 60 in foggy conditions. |

If it's patchy fog, maybe 100 km is possible, but miles of fog.. you must be insane. If there's a car stopped in front of you, or an accident, what do you do? Just pray that there isn't? Drive through it? Assume you're the only person on the road that matters? |

It's a 4 lane highway, and it was later at night. I could see lights from about 50 feet and was completely fine. It's the people who are always tapping their breaks, and are going way under the speed limit who make the roads dangerous. They would cause the initial crash, and chaos ensues. I see where you're coming from, though. |

But yes, anyone going 60 mph or certainly higher in bad fog, are taking a huge chance and risking not only their lives but others as well. Thanks for clarifying that. |
