Quoting: 1908247 One of humanity's problems is that words get corrupt over time. To me it means following a set of dogmatic rules. To me religion, especially christian related religions have been corrupted in some form. They are also hypocritical. However Jesus teaching speak to me. They are simple and easy to understand and are just really common sense teachings. I follow no religion but Jesus speaks to me. And besides I don't believe Jesus actually created Christianity. |

Catholicism is too ritualistic as with most religions. All Jesus Christ asks is that you trust in him and try to live a life of love just as he exemplified. |

The world would classify you as a "christian", but those labels don't mean much because it's just a word. A relationship is so much more then a label, it's real love. I dislike the word Christian. To me it denotes some sort of fanaticism. I'm not a "Jesus Freak" either. I just think that Jesus was a good man who basically sent one simple message and that is to be good to eachother. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9788321 Fail. wow! you are making a hell of progress to the pit Unlike you, I'm not a slave to fear. I don't fear going to Hell (if it exists). I'd rather go to "Hell" than worship a God who mass murders if you don't become his slave. Thanks for your concern though. |

If it is something you don't agree with, there's no reason for calling it a religion. I often think like that aswell, and I never said I followed a religion altough I do have my spiritual side and I study a lot. The other day I was speaking to a woman and she gave me another view on the word "Religion" It's "Religião" in portuguese. "Religar" is a verb that means reconnect. Therefore "Religião" is something that reconnects you to the Lord, or to whatever you believe or call it. (: Words are not static you know, and words nowadays are corrupt. To change them and purify them is to do the work we are meant to do, simply in a different layer, purifying also our language. From darkness to light (: Nus |

Well said, Lisa :-) "Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10 Truth needs no validation because it is self-evident and undeniable. And I'm not foolish enough to rely upon the words of man to enlighten me. However, taking the God of the bible at face value clearly tells me it is not the type of God I want to be worshiping. Unfortunately the Jesus of the bible chose the Hebrew God as his focus of worship. |

You have taken in others opinions your whole life shaping your originally pure mind. Do you think if their was a test in this world a test of faith a test to find the lord and choose good over evil that it would come so simple. You had the bible thrown into your lap. and all you have had to do is build a relationship in your head with something you call the lord. and attended church everyday. You read literally when the lord speaks in parables. He has warned you to watch out for wolves in sheep's clothing. yet you keep going to church and learn from a Shepard who tends to the lords flock.. hmmm.. Your missing the divine truth in the book the Christ is within.. Last Edited by Talkinghands on 11/22/2012 06:44 PM |

You encourage others to join you through your example and your actions. As you know, there are many who do a lot of talking, but no walking. "Be still, and know that I am God."
