Boycotting Christmas consumerism/materialism.

As for Christ's birth--I actually tend to think He was born on Christmas because it is so significant astronomically... it's God's show, right? why wouldn't he use it--just because some peeps have explained it in pagan terms... this is just like the occult use of a five-pointed star in a circle... God's design...

as well, a puppy certainly takes precedence over a tree, but I am a sucker for the accouterments of "Christmas Spirit" and enjoy the trees and lights and stuff... even gift giving... in the right way...

you can always get some white christmas lights and drape them around the apt.--nice mood lights and on a snowy night you might find them charming... :)

volunteering and temperance will make this holiday season beautiful...and fun... Christ doesn't talk specifically about fun, that I can think of, but He seems to have had fun, at times... putting demons in pigs and cursing fig trees with no fruit... and outsmarting the Pharisees... "let he who is without sin throw the first stone" probably made Him chuckle inside...

it is not important when he was born. but its been determined by those in heaven to be august 21 7 bc, in the conversion from the times of those days to our time we use now. I don't think the calendars matched ours much in those days.

why do you need a new mac with retinal display, to own another new toy? do you really NEED IT.

How about giving all year long when the need and desire presents itself. I totally ignore christmas anymore.
