a question about lust
as human beings we all have sexual desires, since we were created to be this way then why is lust frowned upon?

i grew up with a christain family and was taught that lust/sex was wrong and when puberty hit it hit me hard, but since those feelings were "sinful" it had only wrought confusion in my life

i just think it wouldnt be fair for something completely natural to be vilified in that way

Who frowns upon pleasing self? Who frowns upon lusts?

Have you looked around at the world today OP?

The world is setup to cater to lusts. To nurture them and encourage them.

There is a natural man and a spiritual man OP and the two war against one another.

Serve one or serve the other.

Re: a question about lust
Lust is a difficult feeling/emotion to control.

Lusting after a man or a woman often causes problems for everyone involved.

I think desire is okay within reason, but lust is not that easy to control or overcome.

To my way of thinking, desire means attraction and longing for a person.

Lust - you just want to possess their body.

Re: a question about lust
Lust when used in the right way..AKA..UNSELFISHLY within marriage..is NOT sinful.

Lust is sinful when its ONLY lust.

When you lust after your own wife or hubby..thats NORMAL..cause its also giving..you share the pleasure IN LOVE as was intended.

But when you lust NOT CARING about the other person as a person..but see them only as an OBJECT to drool over..THEN its selfish..THEN its sin..because selfishness IS SIN.

LUST is neccessary to produce children..how do ya get a hardon without actually having sexual thoughts??

So its NEEDED..and is NOT a sin if USED AS INTENDED.

Shitloads of people have this same exact thing happen to them that happened to you...

Organized religion is the #1 cause of sexual guilt which is just another thing that makes it fucking stupid.

Yes, we are fucking animals... and truly there is no right or wrong outside of our human perceptions/personal feelings/opinions.

And there's DEFINITELY nothing wrong with anything that is totally consensual. It may be 'wrong' in some other peoples' eyes, you may be looked down on for it by your peers, etc. etc. But once again... that is just human perception and not even a case of something actually being wrong or right.

The fuck? See, this is clearly someone who's heard me talk at length about violent sex/strangulation/'Nu'...

Which isn't wrong either even though as I said, some may look down upon the people who participate... but it's consensual and pretty fuckin' great.

This whole machine is driven by lust OP.

Lust for sex, money, power, vain glory... and lust is never satisfied. Never enough... Need more and more...

Lust only serves the natural man... SELF... PRIDE... EGO...

If a man desires spiritual things and to be free from such chains, he will look to resist such things and find he does not have strength within himself to resist such things. He sees he is but a natural man. This man will call upon one who can free him from such things. And there is ONE who can and does free a man from such things.

But not all men desire freedom from such things OP. Rather the contrary; they love such things and they promote such things and they justify such things and call them 'normal' and 'natural'.

Well, to the natural man, they are indeed natural. But to the spiritual man, they are contrary to spiritual things.

So man makes a choice.

Now we see the world promotes natural things. The world runs headlong towards these things and encourages other when they do they same.

But of course, this world is ruled by such powers and they encourage men to their own spiritual destruction. They lead men to the pit. They are the pied pipers of spiritual death.

So man makes a choice. Serve the natural man or serve the spiritual man. Service receives a reward, either way.
