ASV User ID: 6943853 United States 11/28/2012 05:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Much ado about nothing: Quoting: ASV 6943853 1) UNGA has NO legal autghority to create a state, so the vote is largely symbolic. Only UNSC can do that, and US veto will not allow it. 2) Mahmoud Abbas official presidential term has expired 3 years ago, and he is not even recognized in Gaza. So it's impossible for him to legally represent fictional "Palestinians" 3) PA and PLO, along with Hamas in Gaza, both engage in widespread terror activities, and in incitement to genocide in their schools & media. That violates THE most important principle of UN that the applicant entity for statehood be "peaceful". All easily provable & demonstratable. 4) The League of Nations decision that grants Israel a MUCH bigger state is still legally valid because it's enshrined into the relevant articles of the very founding Charter of its successor, the United Nations. So any Palestinain State within "1967" lines, would make absolutely zero legal or moral sense. 5) UNSC Resolution 242 and its author Eugene Rostow both affirm the right of Jews to build anywhere in the land -- until the 2 sides sit down and negotiate a final-status agreement ---> which Palestinians have refused & avoided every single time. Fact. 6) Such unilateral step by Abbas violates the very letter & spirit of the Oslo Accords (which formed PA on Israeli tax-payer money, incidentally) 7) Netanyahu has been on record as practically begging Abbas to negotiate with no pre-conditions (ie first recognize Israel as Jewish State, etc). Bibi even froze settlement construction, as slow-paced as it is, for almost a year back in 2010 -- much to the dismay of his Right-wing fellow party members. And what did Abbas and Palestinians do as a response to such gesture of good-will? More terror incitement in their kindergardens, more diplomatic/propaganda war against Israel on international arena -- and of course more rockets. All that after Arafat promised to foresake terror as a condition of the Oslo Accords???? LOL, Arab-Muslims sure do honour any agreements and promises they sign, going back to the days of their Prophet Mohammad.... NOT! Israel should annex the so-called "Area C" and unpopulated parts of "Area B" in the West Bank, including the Jordan Valley. Let Palestinians have the small Area A where most of Arabs live. Let them fend for themselves. It's their fault. You sir are a retard [Translating the Orwellian dialect spoken in Londonistan: "Your undisputable facts have blown my mind. I am in awe of your all-encompassing righteousness; please teach me to be just like you"] You're welcome. |

Much easier to declare war on an entire country than to try pick off it's rabble from a distance. Quoting: LunaticFringe The problem there is that there was always a certain impunity that came with fighting a divided rebel force. When it comes to fighting a country (especially one with immense political backing in and outside the region) it's a bit more complicated. ....especially when 54% of the entire population of the country you're decimating are under the age of 9. There's really little to no political backing for the Palestinians. None of the Arab countries will take them in, Jordan won't, Saudi Arabia won't, nobody will help them really. |

You know, when the US and Israel made and created the state of Southern Sudan due to oil and strategically advantages, I had an bright idea......why don't the Zionists move towards there. Mostly wealth and oil and a lot of dark skinned people to enslave like you now do with imported people from Ghana. Let the real Jews, Arabs and Christians in peace in Holly Land. |

Britain is abstaining. I see the US doing the same thing. Yo peeps, please acquaint yourselves with the difference between UN General Assembly... and the UN Security Council. Abbas is applying for (non-member state) in the UNGA. Which is largely a symbolic, non-binding vote. So of course US doesn't have veto in it. All the same US, like Canada, Germany, Australia and possibly UK and Italy will vote AGAINST this foolishness. Because those countries haven't yet been completely overrun by Muslims or bribed by Saudi Arabia, Qatar or UAE. And as mentioned before, not only is even considering a terror entity/charity-basket case like PA represent an EMBARASSMENT of the United Nations principles.... but by violating the Oslo Accords, Abbas has just given Israel legal pretext to make unilateral move(s) of its own. Like say, withholding tax revenues, or charging PA for electricity & water it provides PA.... or even annexing Jewish parts of West Bank or Jordan Valley.... And again, this all only further keeps us all away from a true, lasting peace...and accordingly, only further brings us all to WAR in the Middle East. Which will crash the Global Economy like never before. So all you tards celebtrating this "sticking it to Israel/Jew".... the joke's on YOU. You are speeding along your own economic demise. Fools, LOL |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 9700822 United States 11/28/2012 05:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | More countries have to vote against Palestine. They are an illegitimate people whereas Israel has the most innocent people in the world. The talk of them killing civilians in Gaza is totally untrue. Hamas just fabricates these stories to make Israel look like the bad guy. In reality, the state of Israel is one of the most peace loving countries in the world. I will firmly support whatever decisions Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu takes for the safety of the Israeli people. I will firmly stand behind Netanyahu in all matters, whether he decides to go after Hezbollah in Lebanon or bomb the illegal Iranian nuclear reactors. God bless the Israeli government. May they prevail in the future. |

Palestine needs a state...they are humans too just like the Israelis. please stop the hate mongering They have a state. It's called Jordan. It's 70% ethnic Palestinian and much larger than entire Israel + West Bank combined. And technically, Jordan is also the territory that was originally promised to the Jews in San Remo, Partition, League of Nations..... but Jews aren't even asking for Trans-Jordan to be returned to their sovereigty. All they are asking is for Palestinians to BEHAVE. For at least 5-10 years without terror or terror incitement in their schools & media. And then Israel would give them their state, maybe even part of East Jerusalem as capital. Hell, after liberating East Jerusalem from illegal Jordanian occuptation in 1967, first thing Israel did was VOLUNTARILY turn over control of the Temple Mount to Islamic Waqf. A truly unprecedented move of generosity by the Jews -----> because for pretty much entire world history, the country that WINS the war gets the spoils. But Jews were so nice, they even agreed to share the Holy City with people who OPENLY state their intent to destroy the Jews. But whatever. Let No-Longer-President Mahmoud Abbas go on his ego trip to New York. Let's see where it gets him and West Bank economy, which Israel has helped build up from scratch over the last decade. |
