He even appointed Republicans to cabinet positions in Defense, treasury and the CIA. How many Democrats were on GWB's cabinet? How many Democrats do you think Romney would have appointed?

I'm not an Obama supporter but I do have an opinion.

I think if Obama said he was a communist on TV, a lot of working class demeocrats would immediately reconsider their vote.

I think it may be as much as half of his supporters would be alarmed.

This is what scares the shit out of me... most of these zombies will not even admit that he is wrong.... EVER!! its disgusting, really...

This brings up a valid point which is worthy of discussion...

What if this same standard was applied to any and all politicians in government?

Would you still vote for these individuals that you vote for, if they openly told you about their true nature and what motivates them to behave the way that they do? If they told you about their desire to take actions that further their own political careers? Or about how they plan to make promises and run on campaign agendas designed only to secure your votes? What about their intention to make political decisions that cater to corporate interests and special interest groups for the purpose of obtaining self-serving incentives?

My point is that if 99% of these politicians, regardless of party or political perspective, told you the truth about themselves and how they operate, none of you would be able to keep a straight face and say that you honestly felt these people were looking out for you and your well-being. You wouldn't vote for these individuals if you knew the truth about them and weren't faced with the dilemma of not having any other options

You can point the finger at Obama, at Bush, and at whichever individual takes office 4 years from now until you are red in the face, but you'll always be missing the larger context by focusing your attention on the symptoms of the issue at hand, and not the cause. You can't cure an illness by trying to treat the symptoms. No politicians you root for will ever produce the changes that you long for, because the system in place is diseased and incurable by design.

Just keep this perspective in mind the next time you find yourself arguing with others about politicians and pointing the finger at people for their political affilitations & beliefs. Is your attention focused on the root cause of our problems, or are you distracted by the symptoms again?

I think the typical working class democrat is exposed to media that favors Obama. Nothing in mainstream media indicates Obama is a Communist or that the left is going too far left.

An open announcement that Obama is a communist would shock enough people to change public opinion.

ironically if you cruise U-tube you can see plenty of videos where Obama is very friendly to communist and socialist ideas. I'm not aware of him actually admitting it but you can tell where his heart is.

given the dumbed-down liberal education that is happening in our schools, i doubt that most obama supporters know what communism is, so they would probably cheer thinking it means more free stuff.
