Encrypted HF traffic on Military and FEMA frequencies WEST COAST

Hey einstein, online ham radio stations exist. I just wanted someone to provide a link so that I could listen in that area. You did know that online ham stations exist, right?

Encrypted? Why? They afraid we might find out what they're going to do? Here's a hint at whats been going on in New Jersey, and what is to come to the west coast should the big storm create another big disaster!

5211 is is Frequency
If you have a shortwave radio you dial in that frequency just like your 101.7 FM or whatever

5211 is in Upper sideband so your shortwave receiver needs to be Single Sideband capable

you also need an antenna

the wavelength of 5211Khz is roughly 60 Meters long so your antenna to be efficient could be 1/4 that or you can use a small amplified loop or you can load up any piece of wire

Whats adding up is obviously FEMA is anticipating a disaster with all the moisture that is supposed to fall on us. This explained by meteorologists makes perfect sense, the Atmospheric river is forecast to stall over California, and is said to have 15X more moisture than a usual pineapple express type of low. Get your lifeboats ready, ive been reading about this scenario for years and it looks like the time has come. Hope you all have flood insurance.

Some of us don't have knowledge about electronics, and some of these acronyms and such don't make sense. No one is born with this knowledge, and some of us didn't take electronics in school or we are not inclined that way. So it's difficult to know what this thread is saying.

The forecast said northern California so why all the hub-bub around southern California? We may get 0.25" of rain.

I live near Lake Tahoe. On Sunday, Nov. 25th, saw a Coast Guard C-130 flying low and fast from the north to the south over the lake. Usually they fly higher. It didn't land at the local Tahoe airport either. On Monday, Nov. 26th, saw a Coast Guard Blackhawk helicopter flying at a high rate of speed from north to south at low level. It didn't land at the local airport either. Have seen and heard military fighter jets every day since Sunday, more than the usual one or two per week. Have noticed the Direct TV signal freezing up, jumping, or the screen just going black lately. Haven't seen any EBS broadcasts yet. I expect to though, and soon!

The 'pineapple express' type moisture coming from way west in the pacific looks like it will catch So. Cal too.

It's far south and has yet to turn north but it will, and watching the gifs of it, it seems on track to do what another forecaster had suggested, heavy rain from N. Calif to N Mexico. Look for yourself, look how wide that band of moisture is, that could easily cover the entire state.

Holy crap OP, hang on a sec. ... I guess what the other poster is trying to ask is; is there a way to listen in via the internet? I know that I don't have, have never seen, nor would I even begin to know anything about a HAM radio. I know ZERO.

But your thread is interesting. Little help for the folks not so skilled in these areas?
