When I lived in the states we would buy one every once in a while. A lot of fun for a measly buck.

This is not true. Buying more tickets only increase your chances of winning, it doesn't change the odds.

So they are racking in about $75,600,000 in the course of a day......it would be more, but you can only buy powerball tickets between, 6am and 8pm....that also isn't set in stone, varies from state to state.

If that is the average ticket sales for each of the four days (sun,mon,tue,wed) we arrive at $302,400,000 approximately. That's only four days of ticket sales, and it doesn't take into account people using the powerplay option.

That's almost a half-billion in tickets sales in only four days. I wonder how much the total would be if we calculated the rest of the tickets sales since the last time somebody won?

Don't think for a second that these people actually use the excess money they make for our benifit.... They likely use it against us, either that or as toilet paper.
