Dr Melba Ketchum claims to to have found DNA of a "hybrid species" of humans.

She has a paper in peer review to support her claims.

It is supposed to be from the animal known as Bigfoot, but if her claims are correct, then Bigfoot is not an animal, it is of the genus homo...human.

This opens the door to the "unknown species" that mated with human females...it could only be something that is capable of cross-breeding with humans. That eliminates many species but also allows wild theories to be considered.

The unknown DNA comes from the male side, as the female DNA has been identified as human
