In almost every major foreign policy headline story we can see or at least sense the invisible hand of the CIA guiding policy. Sometimes it's their mistakes, or the sanitized versions of them, that make it into the news. The Arab Spring would be one thing you could point to but, as is the case with plotters moving in the dark, direct observation is inherently difficult... and dangerous.

You might point them to youtube to look at some videos evidencing and discussing the role the agency has played in the drug trade in Afghanistan. That's extremely well documented and easily searched upon there. They have reportedly made inroads in Mexico similarly in recent years. That would be less well documented but just as easily found in a search on youtube or google. Those two things alone reveal evidence of a pattern of behavior that indicates money laundering, criminal activity, presumably some deaths to cover it up, and massive violations of moral principles by basically selling what they outlaw.

I wouldn't get into the more nebulous stuff. Reveals must be done gradually.

I'd say that this Innocence of Muslims fake youtube trailer, made by Stanley Inc, which is apparently a State Department front group, combined with the appearance on TV news worldwide of alleged foreign enemies (who are apparently operatives) pointing to this fake trailer that had 17 hits total as proof of the Benghazi bungle is indicative of their guiding hand. I'd say the lies from the State Dept, news anchors, foreign agents posing as provocateurs, etc points in that direction but again, that's a bit murkier and sort of hot right now.
