I'm in Wilmington, NC and ILM is a "military" airport and we've had helos all day and Ospreys...but we're kinda used to that around here...maybe something's up. Why don't you take a drive over there and find out? |

Horsham? that's close, about 20 minutes away but i think that's Bucks County. Besides, Willow Grove has been closed for at least a few years now. No activity there. |

Im in your area, in the past two weeks Ive seen 15 chinnoks flying in pairs, 8-10 apaches flying in pairs or alone, several jet fighters including f15s flying in pairs, black scout choppers with surveillence technology in pairs or alone, and a B-29 flying low over the trees and making large circuits over 2-3 days. YES A B-29!. Ive never seen any of these aircraft in my 16 years in this area. I grew up near an airforce base, I know my aircraft. |

I think it's just something they do for training. Similarly, Little Rock airport has C-130s do touch and go's all the time for practice, even though it is a civilian airport. |
