Anonymous Coward User ID: 1271534 United States 11/30/2012 02:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great discovery. The planets are looking more and more inhabitable for colonization. Mars.... Mercury... Even Venus, because it has oxygen (although its like mostly carbon dioxide I think). I think we can possibly be getting close to the next Frontier. Quoting: davriver209 I agree...through new energy means (whether than be something like CERN, or whatever) we ought to be able, at least someday move planets to areas where they would be habitable....same idea as nudging the killer comet or asteroid...just on a grand level... |

Weasel_Turbine User ID: 14143765 United States 12/01/2012 07:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mercury??? It's way close to the sun. Daytime temperature is 400°C... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28580932 Mercury rotates at same speed at it revolves. Net out come: eternal day and eternal night on Mercury. The eternal night is where the ice is. No it doesn't. They used to think that but since 1965 they've known it rotates 3 times for every 2 orbits. The ice is in permanently shadowed craters on the North pole. If you have to insist that you've won an Internet argument, you've probably lost badly. - Danth's Law |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27526740 United States 12/01/2012 08:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | anybody know if mercury is closer or farther away than mars? also if mercury has water how about venus? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19156676 So let me get this straight. You are not only so dumb as to not know the planets in our solar system, but also so dumb as to not know how to use Google? This is the future of the human race, folks. |
