I don't understand why people are so defensive, it really seems they are imagining that I am judging or looking down on people that drink, which of course is absurd. I just want to know why, I don't know where all the people that felt the need to throw insults around came from.

It is my opinion that alcohol brings out the worst in people and weed brings out the best. This is based on all of the people I've crossed paths with in life but I'm sure there are exceptions.

On a very serious level, you are insulting. Honestly, I don't get why people look down their long noses at others. Sometimes a little humility goes a long way. We are all human and we all suffer. Alcohol is a means to deaden the pain that life brings us. I'm glad your an abstainer, but we all don't fall into little neat black and white boxes. I hope you never drink. More power to you. Some need it, some don't. Sometimes we just have to say "sa la vie". Your observations in life are not everyone else's. Open your mind.

Alcohol is the work of the devil, and so is cannibis. Makes everthing seem so much better....when it's really not most of the time. In addition, both make you tired and hungry so you tend to gain weight sometimes.
