Hey TunedOut. Hope your day is going well!

I've had better days, that's for sure. On lunch break at Ranger right now...can't wait 'til 230 and quitting time!
Working on a particularly difficult boat, and nobody is in a good mood about it.
Oh well.
See u after work bro

Reflections on 38 years of Rush fandom
1/23/18

We knew it was coming. But still … seeing it in print smacked of finality.

"It's been a little over two years since Rush last toured," co-founder and guitarist Alex Lifeson told the Globe and Mail last week. "We have no plans to tour or record any more. We're basically done. After 41 years, we felt it was enough."

Their music never grows old with me. Music written with much intellect. I wore out that 'All that Worlds a Stage' album as a youngster.
2112 song, best 20 minutes of music from the 70's imho.

Sometimes I wonder if Neil was channeling those lyrics, but no lol. Amazing stuff

I am very happy for them and hope they enjoy kicking back with the ones they love.

No kiddin'? I remember when that song first came out! Incubus is one of my all time favorite bands though. The evolution of themselves as people, as well as their music has been something to behold.

They've earned it. Lifeson said he has other projects, and I've no doubt Lee and Peart might be toying with something, so I don't think we've seen the last of them.
Me and Rush go back to 8track days...my interpretation and understanding of many of their songs changed over the years. 'Hemispheres' for instance...what an incredible work. I had no idea what they were talking about when I was 17 listening to it. Now..it's a different story :)
They leave behind quite a catalog, one of the greats.
But to all good things, an end eventually comes.
I hate that shit lol ;)

I miss so many songs when they come out. I've been into the Black Crowes a lot the past year, and I've been amazed at the amount of great songs they have that I hadn't heard yet.
I'm slacking...lol
