Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wow - so good! :chrismoose: Quoting: *Sloane* Love that moose-gif. That snowy-foggy backdrop behind him/her is my Winter utopia-setting. When it looks like that in the mts ... the snow is usually soft, fluffy, and unsettled. Perfect for skiing, but BAD for the all-too-common avies on the steeper lines. Nothing like being At Alta on a pow-day.. :fireplace:

Was it icy or were your pants too slippery? How high off the snow were you then? I jumped off of a chairlift once ... but it was July 4 and i didn't even care if Patrol pulled my Season Pass!! lol They never saw me do it n no one reported it! ha ha... I don't recommend doing that .. as it causes an imbalance and/or a bounce on the weighted lift line.. Last Edited by Grey Eagle on 12/11/2018 10:29 PM:fireplace:

Santa Fe Ski Basin - the bar was still up - I didn't know the guy next to me - and chair was really swinging and I was all of a sudden pitching forward and accidentally dragged him out as well - it was about 15 feet but tons of powder - they had to stop the lift and ski patrol pulled us out. EMBARRASSING. Maybe the chair was icey - I never thought of that before. |

When the winds kick up over 30-40 mph, i always look around to see if anyone is screaming or falling off the chairs. That's what putting that retention-bar DOWN is all about. Sort of like a seatbelt when the chair be a rockin'! I take it you weren't hurt in your fall? I have seen 3 people fall off chairs over the years. One was a 5yo kid! Shit happens... :fireplace:
