Jim filmed that footage mostly in the Spring of 1969, with his own blue GT-500 used in the driving scenes, but the seemingly incomplete movie wasn't released until 1970; to very MIXED reviews.. lol

Unfortunately, the story-line wasn't compelling enough to become a Classic flick by any means.

'The End' was a sad farewell song, written essentially/initially to his old (original) Florida girlfriend, Mary Werbelow, of Clearwater. To whom Jim would often hitchhike down from Tallahassee to Clearwater to see on weekends from his college stay at FSU.

It turned into a weird attention-getting LSD-spiked (10,000 mcg!) Oedipus-enactment one creative night in 1966 at the Whiskey-a-Go Go in Hollywood.
