In 1976, Felder said that he was apolitical, and that he and Glenn Frey got into it alot over politics and Frey's insistent arm-twisting.. Randy Meisner's vocals.. .. Randy Meissner was shy, and he had an ulcer and hernia at the concert where Glenn Frey wanted Randy to sing TITTL for the encore. Randy was in pain from the ulcer, and hitting those high notes involves some contraction of the stomach and abdomen ., so he declined to sing the song as the encore. He then resigned and went home . throwing away his shares inThe Eagles Corp, so he now has no share of the money made from his own sings, especially Take It To The Limits which was what really out The Eagles in the charts and in people’s hearts.! There were a lot of politics going on in The Eagles .. look for and watch interviews of Don Felder with Howard Stern (Don was also one of the founding members and who wrote the iconic Hotel California). Henley and Frey would arrive at gigs in a limousine and the rest of the band had to drive themselves in their jalopies. Don Felder was the appointed financial manager of the group and he noticed that sums of money had been disappearing so he started asking questions of Frey and Henley., and he was then “fired” .. yet as a founding member of the formal corporation called The Eagles he could not be “fired”. It was all bad stuff with egos of Henley and Frey. Timothy Schmidt is not a member of The Eagles corporations.. he gets paid per performance like. a session musician and has no share in the profits of The Eagles Corp. Also Henley and Frey did not like the other band members to get attention - Joe Walsh and Don Felder liked to move around and dance whilst playing their incredible guitar work but that distracted the audience from Henley or Frey singing, so they were told to stand like statues and play their guitars!
