Yeah I would avoid that airport! Wintertime especially.

But sometimes you don't have much of a choice. Personally, to the future I'm looking forward to driving. rockon

So, when I was 16 I had a newspaper route and a 'teen' phone. Remember those? waaaay back..if you were really lucky, your parents got a separate line for the teenagers and my sister and I had a phone in our bedroom!!
One Saturday night at 2 am, the teen line rang. I thought it was my neighbor boy and crush, maybe calling to say that he and his friends were having beer and a bonfire in the back field like they sometimes did..and sometimes let me tag along. Sigh, they always treated me like a little sister though.
And the man on the other end said "This is John Holmes, I'm at O'Hare and I'd like to rent a car."
So this wasn't that unusual of a call because we were in the chicago area code and our number was similar to one of the car rental companies. So I explained their number was 1-800 number and not a 312 number and hung up.
He called back and said "This is JOHN HOLMES. I'm really sorry for waking you up, can I take you on a date?"
16yo me never heard of him and certainly wasn't interested in a date with an old man so I mumbled no and hung up.
He called back again and said "This is John Holmes, I'm a movie star and I want to take you on a date to make it up to you." At that point, knowing I had to get up early and do my paper route, I just hung up the phone and went to sleep.
At 5 am when I got up to do the route, my dad was already up and reading the paper..he was crazy about being the first one to read the news. And my dad does the gruff dad voice and goes 'your phone was ringing kind of late last night.' and I told him it was a wrong number, and then laughed and said 'heh, he said his name was John Holmes and he wanted to take me on a date!'
Well, my dad lowered his paper and showed me the headline "Porn star flies into O'Hare to Start Murder Trial"

My sister had a boy who adored her and they were like best friends when she was 14 years old. My mother never liked him. He turned out to be a serial killer. We could hardly believe seeing him on the news several years later.
