It's been an unusually warmer Winter here than normal.

The ants are out of the ground (since January) and all over the place now, coming in past cracks my windows & sills into the kitchen.

coldest I've seen all Winter has been a pathetic 32F/0 Cel.

We get snow high above in the mts and it melts the next day. Supposed to 78F this Monday..

ive had all the snow, not the performer, that i can endure here in Lansing, Michigan.

maybe this song will melt it, but probably not

I stayed at the Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes for a week about 20 yrs ago and I saw apx 8'/96" of snow fall in 6-7 days/nights.

It seemed like it snowed nonstop that whole week. Powder on the Mt every single day. And not many people there from LA during the week.

At 3:30 one very uncrowded Wednesday, Glen Plake sat down on the quad chair next to me and I skied with him for 3 runs thru Gravy Chute each time. What a blast. Damn, dude never even turns on the steepest chutes.

that sounds like a very cool time. the only time i ever tried to ski, was from a Christmas gift. I was gifted lessons and a pass and well, ran into a tree and gave up

well, now one can truly say that Hell has frozen over, since Hell is in Michigan aka Hell, MI and its snowy and cold there

It hasn't been a harsh winter either tbh, especially during midday it has well over 10 degrees mostly, but during the nights it whips down low often up to -15

But I don't know, it'd like to roam through the wild again without getting mutty, that would be a nice change of pace :)

besides the few feet of snow where i live, its not been that bad really. i just hate shoveling due to my back issues and chronic pain issues etc

That 1st day is absolutely critical to what happens in the following years.

I crashed alot my 1st day but I never hit anyone and avoided the trees. That was on Wilmot Mt, on the Illinois/Wisconsin border 40 yrs ago!

crazy. sounds like you were better than me. mine was at Cannonsburg Ski Area over 25 years ago, if not close to 30 years ago

the guy who is Sunset Neon is Bret aka Blue Stahli. His Blue Stahli project is really good as well and his video for Ultranumb is hilarious. Plus, his vocals are so soothing and melodic

From 2001 until 2011, I CHAIRLIFT-skied Mt Hood for a day or two (each yr) in the Summer months of either June, July, or August.

It was 39F and a 18F windchill up there one cold foggy August morning at 7 AM.

I was the only idiot without Winter ski clothes on with all the ski-campers up there from all over the US.

i bet that was a very wonderous site to behold, as well as, freeing in a sense

i love their sound! such a underrated group

Best part was camping in the deep woods there from 4,000'-5,000' elevation each evening. No one around usually, while remote camping, unless I was tenting at the Alpine Camp or at Trillium Lake or at the Still Creek USFS Campground.

MTB trails all over the woods there but fortunately never saw or heard Bigfoot.
