Quoting: Whistlin' Dixie Yes! So good! Never saw Tom Petty live though, wish I had. I did go to many a show at the Merriweather Post Pavilion! I saw Ozzy there during a lightning storm and he was performing in bare feet!! I am terrified of lightning and was shocked (no pun intended) that he took no measures to stay safe on stage...I stayed for the show just like he did though. Metallica opened!!! I love Tom Petty too though, wore out my Wildflowers CD and bought a second copy because I love it so much! |

Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | LOL! How did these bands get such a bad rep.... Creed too has the same bad rep...as Nickeback... I didn't know Breaking Benjamin fell in the same group!! Quoting: InTune4529 I guess any "alternative rock" overplayed radio rock is considered on 'the list'... [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] |

I love Breaking Benjamin!
My 17 year old son recently told me that Breaking Benjamin was considered on the same level of don't play as Nickelback...I think he's full of doo...because he knows I love Breaking Benjamin!
Quoting: InTune4529 Shhh! Don't tell anyone but I still listen to Nickelback when I'm feeling 90's and early 2000's nostalgia...guilty pleasure. Here's a good one from BB. Quoting: InTune4529 Can't speak for BB, but Creed's rep started to go down when lead singer Scott Stapp (with a Pastor father) did something not in congruence with his noted Christian background. I think the inevitable bad-mouthing - as (his) apparent hypocrisy - started around that time. All down hill from there. Nickelback always had a reputation for "being contrived" or "created" or whatever. As well as being OVERplayed on the radio.. Last Edited by Grey Eagle on 10/01/2017 02:13 AM:fireplace:

Quoting: Grey Eagle So awesome!!! I love Pink Floyd! I had many a party where my dear friends would ask me to please turn it off though...WTF??? They said it was bringing the mood down....lol! They couldn't appreciate this music the way I and many others can apparently! My oldest son was playing Another Brick in the Wall before he started kindergarten and my youngest son loves Pink Floyd as well!!! The Wall is the one my kiddos like the best but my youngest son asks me which is my favorite Pink Floyd song and I always say Dogs and Animals is my favorite Pink Floyd album but I truly love them all!!! I have passed the Pink Floyd torch to my children though, long may they run (Neal Young is cool too) The guitar in this song...oh David Gilmour...so good!! I know it's a terribly long song so for those of you that can't take it skip to.....14 minutes and listen from there. Last Edited by InTune4529 on 10/01/2017 02:17 AM |

I never really dug too much into Nickelback's catalog besides what I heard on the radio but the singer could definitely sing... I really have always loved Breaking Benjamin though! What an incredible voice he has! Really Scott Stapp has a great voice too...and the dude from Nickelback can sing as well, all those bands have strong vocals but I have always loved Breaking Benjamin so much! |

Quoting: Whistlin' Dixie I've always considered Schenker's guitar (playing) to be melodic in nature. Gilmour's has SOUL. And a unique iconoclastic .. STYLE. As the perfect accompaniment to Waters' biting lyr*cs. Wright's keyboards, Mason's drumming .. balanced input and playing ... and there you have mega-success and an unreal following.. :fireplace:
