That Sax was good :P

I always wanted to learn to play the violin, like a fiddle really...there are massive guitar players in my family...a family get together needs space for all the guitars they bring along...and one drummer. My oldest son took cello in junior high school but he didn't really take to it, so I am really glad I only rented the cello :)

lol, I wish I had learned to play something...anything...I used to sing but not so much anymore, you have to train that thing...I still try when I am alone, like now....although hubby might be laughing upstairs at my attempts as he's trying to sleep.

My mom had a player organ that I learned to play Silent Night on, lol!!

I always wanted to play piano. But I have two left hands when it comes to that. I used to sing with a improvised choir (we were early flash mobs, lol) quite a bit and write lots to existing songs in Dutch for all kinds of events. Still do that on ocassion. I must have written hundreds.

I believe that music and singing does bring people together, make them laugh and cry. You can reach everyone if you just try, with words, music, songs, theatre. And if you only see a glimpse of a smile on people's faces, you know that you touched them.

Yes, indeed, I believe the same for sure. Music is UNIVERSAL and subjective there are those that won't ever care for some of what others listen to but there still is the common link of loving music and that brings people together.

I thank my parents for my love of music as it was always played in my house...my mom loved show tunes and my dad loved country music...I took from them a love of music, not necessarily theirs (lol) as my children have taken from me.

Now to get my oldest son to stop listening to ICP in front of the little one....lol!! They both love music too though!!!
