My wife just texted me a pic of a hawk my 1 yr old puppy killed. How does that happen

must've been a two-score and ten eight mile puppy

I have a brother that lives in Alaska I visit when I can, but we have not shot anything in my travels yet, just fishing.

I have not hunted in a while.

Goat hunting in Alaska is an extreme challenge, maybe someday

I suspect hawk was on the ground eating a fresh kill when the pup came up on it

I hate it happened I really like hawks.

I have a very large and deep lake 15 miles away from me where I caught an 18lbs a d a 14lbs stripe bass. I wish I had one mounted now, but we ate them. Damn good eating

She got lucky for sure.

I live close to the coast so most fishermen around here do the salt water thing. That leaves some good freshwater large mouth bass for me in the local waters.
Not much on the mounting thing for me. I usually let the bigger ones go and keep the 2 to 3 pounders to eat. Easier for me to cook up.
