Perhaps it wasn't a sync. Dunno. But word-associations are a reality, when you read something and your mind races to something similar..
 Quoting: Grey Eagle

Could well be sync. I just associate quite fast. It goes with my disrupted mind. When someone says something, I almost immediate associate it with either a joke, a song.. I can picture it in my mind.

It usually is a good thing, but it can be very annoying at times, lol. I remember very serious meetings that got completely out of hand through it. Trying to make light out of a bad situation. My timing sucks at times...
 Quoting: InterMezzo

That associations-quirkiness can be a double-edged sword at times, you're saying.

Timing is EVERYTHING in life, it seems.
 Quoting: Grey Eagle

Nah, timing is relative Eagle. We make things way to serious. We need to laugh much more, love a little more, put things in perspective.

We are taught the grow up, act adult, but why? It takes the fun away. With a little less adult and a bit more kid in us, we would make this world a much better place.

Okay, I have to admit, that doesn't work in all situations. I remember going to a funeral with a girlfriend once. The music started playing and we were the only ones dancing..

Finnish, Norwegian, Danks.. it has some Dutch / German in it as well. But not my favorite languages.. even though I do love Agnetha..

I must say, this clip gives a total different meaning to the song...

Merry Christmas everyone!

 Quoting: Sir Tim

Hey, Tim! How's the weather and mood in the UK?
 Quoting: Grey Eagle

It's cold and quiet here, but lively down the pub.

cheers
 Quoting: Sir Tim

Are there any fears at the pubs regarding Brexit??
 Quoting: Grey Eagle

Good question, Grey Eagle.

To tell you the truth, I avoid political discussions with people. However, the general mood is rather vibrant. I suppose Brexit plays a part, but it may also be because it's Christmas.

It's okay to dance at funerals. I'm mostly certain that the deceased would not mind!

A funeral is a celebration, not a reason to be sad. Sadness comes later on, in solitude, when you miss that person.

You can dance at my funeral.

Party on, gents..

I'm not Finnish (German-Anglo ancestry here), but Finns are fairly bright. And studious.

On average, maybe some of the sharpest minds. They do have/have had the Russian Bear breathing down their neck throughout history. Maybe that doesn't allow stupidity and sloth of mind... ?

Some detail.. when I was in the military, about 140 miles from where I lived, I remember driving up there.. and I was just one corner away from the base, driving about 10 mph.

And this song was on. I remember exact what Barry Hay sang: "No more speed, I'm almost there" when this other car crashed into mine from the left and totaled my Simca 1000.
