Donkeys keep the coyotes pushed back. We are over run with them. |

Cant imagine life without her. We don't have neighbors either. Kind of nice, just need to be on guard always. You never know when someone might come around and want to take what you have. Before my divorce, we had about 100 chickens and turkeys, 22 beefers, 5 dairy, and 50 or so sheep and the horses. Oh, and 3 dogs and a lot of cats. When I left, it was kinda sudden and I took the kids, the dogs, and our clothes in garbage bags. I had to leave the rest behind. I really miss the dairy cows and the sheep my son raised until he went off to college. He was smart..won a small monetary award for academics freshman year of hs and invested in sheep then sold the flock to help pay for college. It was for the best as the rest of us aren't able to take good care of them due to time constraints, but I still miss them. It was amazing..had a giant fireplace in the kitchen that you could stand up in. Fixer uppers are good for the soul, really rough on the bank account though. Those are gorgeous horses too!
