I must say it was a struggle to decide whether I should do it again, seeing the hate and division toward each other on a lot of threads here these days, but friends convinced me that especially in challenging times we need to spread light to those who need it most.

Not everything and everyone is bad. Even though the media would like us to believe that, the contrary is still true. There is much more good than bad. People sometimes act completely away of their core when they are fired up by all that surrounds us these days, not following their instinct, but what is being fed.

So we can at least try to reflect on that and attempt to get back to a little belief in humanity again. And I know that it is just little gestures to those who need it most, but still, my main goal with it is always to let people see that humanity is still far superior to politics, color, life style, religion, anything.

And if we can restore that belief, even it is for a brief moment and make people see that in our own circle of influence we can make a difference, no matter by what means, words, material things, food, money, a shoulder, I am convinced we made our world a better place.

We need to get back to our core. And I know I am not alone in that thought.

I hear you Boots and you too SB. There are things that are out of our control, but you also have to ask yourself if all the negative energy you put into that is worth it. It only leads to more anger, division, hate against someone who you maybe considered friend for ages, but has a different opinion or life style. Sometimes it is better to let it run its course and see what it brings you and direct the positive energy to things that you can control, in your own environment.

Often those things that we can't control are in reality far from the way they promise at first sight. Politicians, no matter which side of the isle, are foremost marketeers, who use the eager 24/7 media to harvest as many souls as they can, to increase their field. In that respect we are nothing more, even far less than a bookkeeping item in their own personal agendas.

That is why it is much more rewarding to rely on your own instincts, concentrate on that what you can influence. And that doesn't mean that you should close your eyes or ignore what is happening around it, but we need to find balance and connection. Connection through reaching out, music, putting things in perspective.

Without those core necessities we are lost. I for one refuse to give in to that. And I know I am naive. But I rather be that than hate, degrade and ignore someone, just because they do not share my opinion or beliefs. I will always reach out to those who are visibly struggling, without questioning.
