i went out for my last smoke break of the work day (night actually), 'twas around six this morning, and it wasn't snowing, not quite...

it was a common foggy morning, and the temperature was just right to make it so that the fog was crashing, precipitating out of the air in a light breeze. i know i can't say they were individual molecules, because that can't be seen, but standing in certain places under the brighter than luna halogens in the parking lot made it seem like it was possible

moving away from the lighted areas, you wouldn't even think there were water crystals in the air. moving back in and looking toward where the wind was blowing from, though - is something i've seen so very seldom in my life

looking up at a dark sky, is like millions of twinkling stars blowing by, but not streaking and leaving a sense of movement as they catch the light in time so slight. let your focus drift, and it almost seems as though it's you that's moving through them instead of the other way around


hard to describe well, but it gave me quite a moment, and a recollection of this lil quip:
