my father has had Crohns since he was 16.. hes in his mid 50s now and just had the surgery to remove the bad parts of his intestines and part of his colon.. nasty disease.. idk anything about smoking cigs for relief but i do know that smoking medical marijuana helps with Crohns symptoms.. maybe they were talking about weed not cigs??

Why don't you take up pipe smoking? Good pipe tobacco (not aromatic drug store variety) is pure tobacco. You can still absorb the nicotine through the gums without inhaling and damaging lungs. I smoke a pipe, and love the opportunity it provides me for quiet time. On average, pipe smokers actually live 3 years longer than non-smokers.

Yeah the smoke would kill me off anyway. I will follow with interest though, as I too have come down with this debilitating disease. Any idea on the mechanism involved?

Dude, you have to try food grade hydrogen peroxide. It works like a charm. I guarantee it will cure you. Just make sure to dilute it in water!

Wow thats a really awesome idea.. Think about it.. Native americans smoked pipes, and im sure they were much healthier than all of us. Maybe i will try that once I am in remission.. But these organic cigarettes are probably the closest to pipe smoking..

Thank you for this. My sister is having an awful time...stuck at home for the last 3 weeks...up most of the night with it also. I feel so bad for her. My mother had it also so it runs in our family. Luckily, I only have mild symptoms, BUT I smoke. I have been searching the net alot today looking for natural cures because non of her meds are working. Found nothing...then I see this on GLP. DAMN. Hi there I was smoker I gave up for 7moth than I got uc never suffered with this in my life and it not in the family so I looked in to it and found out smoking helps so I started to smoke again and now I am uc free I will not give up again hope this help

They were talking about removing the colon as none of the medicines worked I only got it after I gave up the smokes This was about 7 months after quitting. as a last resort I began smoking again and was back to normal after a week . I have been smoking again for 18 months. Like all of us I want to give up again, but worry that the UC will come back.

has anybody given up again and not had it come back ???
