Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28593250 In fact, most of the times they get forgotten. you sound proud of that. Maybe the people w/out Facebook accounts are the people you really need at your events, not the sheeple. It's sad actually. Too lazy to take 5 minutes to set up a stupid account like the rest of the world so we can all save precious time and effort when it's time to organise an event. They are dead weight. I understand you can be affraid of facebook, but you don't even have to enter your full name or any personal info for that matter. Just set up a dummy account. At least we will be able to include you in our events. Why should the 99% adapt to the 1% ? |

If you want to isolate yourself from the rest of the world, yes, not having a facebook account is a good way. I keep mine open to have a "social life". Can't really tolerate most people in real life, but on facebook, it's okay. Much better than the phone, also. Well, that seems a bit extreme, but I guess thats how The Man is selling it to you... |

The main objective wanting or not, ends being a great catalogue of sexual relationship, and as a result of this we have a significative lost of the family structure, what to one hand could be good if it implied in less new childrens in the world, but it is just the opposite. We have more pregnant womans (many teenagers), which already have kids from another's fathers, many of those fathers not assume the childs, and that situation just tend to grow, in your contry may aren't like that, but in many others (as my) certainly is. Im not a moralist, that is just one point of view. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28867210 United States 12/05/2012 11:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Facebook is for people who feel unimportant. They are trying to bring attention and meaning to their dreary lives Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28863250 and you know this how? Its painfully obvious to those that don't seek attention and admiration from others I have to agree. There was a time when I allowed just about everyone I had ever known into my facebook world. It was cold, lonely and very impersonal. Once I deleted all the people that I really did not have the need to feel 'connected' to, it felt warm and familiar. I realized, having people from HS, that I was never really close with way back when or a co-worker I only knew from passing in the hallway and saying hello was not 'friendship'. Sure facebook is a good way to have all your contacts in one place, but if you want it to be more personal, it serves no purpose to pollute it with strangers from your past. Most people change they are not the same as when you knew them and lets face it, if anyone was that important, you would not have lost touch with them to begin with. FB is also a great way to ruin relationships and marriages. You have to really get your priorities in order if you want to play there. One irresponsible post and your friendship could be over or your marriage could be headed for divorce court. People that post there everyday 2 or 3 times a day are clearly not getting attention in real life. I know of a girl I went to HS with who post everyday on FB, its really sad, she has about 400 friends and never really gets any comments on her posts. she is always posting about her work outs or her overweight pets and all I want to do is scream GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND WALK YOUR FAT ASS AND YOUR FAT DOG, lol. I really think most people are just beyond help these days. GMO food and the internet addiction keeps people sedated and very predictable. I am sure she will post the same BS again later today. Some kitty pictures and an 'encouraging quote'. LOL. People are funny to watch. Then there are the married couples, that sit in the same room posting back and forth for the world to see how great their relationship is. Its hysterical. This one guys has over 1000 friends, his wife has a bout 500. He is always friending 'new' women and liking trashy sites that moves wives would be humiliated over. Its the most bizarre thing to watch relationships over Facebook. It will be interesting when they eventually divorce, lol. Good fireworks for sure. |
