This might be the next plan for the fertile central Calif. valley. No food growing allowed, just dump off all the fresh water and become a desert. |

Being that i live in Fresno county, that sounds like an awful plan. I'm sure you have seen that map/thread on this site about how they want most of the country un-populated, and the areas that are designated for populace are mighty small. It makes sense, the slime ball cities TELL us what to do with our water, the water that flow through our towns, and is in our counties snow pack. In Sec. 208 of the CWA, local governments have responsibility for this cleanup and control, and the governor's do not have say-so, except to the extent that the local plans must meet the state's basin water plan. The purpose of 208 is primarily to clean sewage and waste disposal, but also directly affect any water discharge permit. Look to the local government politicians and the governor's office for what is going on. It sounds like Nebraska has sucked up more than its share of water from neighboring states and must make up the difference. |

If not, get it fast, because that causes cancer Lets say I live in Nebraska, which is a great country, but my water is contaminated with uranium. It will cost me millions to fix the problem. How about I just sell the water, empty the aquifer, and let it refill hoping that no uranium recharges with the new pesticide contaminated water which will degrade naturally unlike uranium. |

[link to www.drought.unl.edu] and take a look at the relatively recent Drone video readings of the Platte.. then go to [link to droughtmonitor.unl.edu] and look where the largest extreme drought section is at the moment in the whole of the USA. Many irrigators in Nebraska plain stopped irrigating when they saw how much corn and crops were already nearly beyond any hope of a profitable harvest, its cost $$ to keep pumping water when the crop is already 3/4th dead on the ground. Also look a the drought maps of the Platte and republican watersheds.. yep varying levels of drought most of this year.. can't pass on to other STates water that is not coming in from above or in from other States up River from Hebraska. |
