Draghi at his press conference did not want to comment on the italian situation. The ECB is not prepared for the crisis in Italy. Comes totally unexpectedI guess.

The real story here is also that the alternatives to Monti are all anti- Euro!

In the wake of Draghi's press conference -- where he sounded very dovish and said that rate cuts have been discussed -- the euro is getting massacred.

There's also consternation in Italy, where the government seems to be fraying, thanks to the revenge of Silvio Berlusconi.
