Sounds to me like his quorum sensing program would literally and accurately predict stocks.

Well my thought actually was that it's bio-tech, probably using electronic signals somehwhere about the U.S. based on these organic principles, and that the replicated electronic signals are interferring with the bees. they get this signal, they interpret it as an order to abandon their hive and go start a new one. without a queen though they would just die and vanish I am not educated enough about the subject to make that inference, it just stuck out for me. Interesting that one of this decades biggest mysteries gets connected to this in some odd future tech way.

Back to the subject -There needs to be a gland inserted under the chin. It is known as the Barathary Gland(google won't have this i bet-Nope found it).
