BRIEF User ID: 29971739 United States 12/15/2012 04:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm only joking...I am all for renting cheap while saving to buy a home for cash...but unless you are living in a major city and have to rent, it really should be a temporary thing...unless you are handicapped and can't maintain your property...if i live to be old and feeble I'll probably buy a condo and pay the maintenance fee just for the convenience... LOL....I am old and feeble now. I live very near NYC and the rents as you probably already know would buy a nice house somewhere else. I plan on re-locating when I can, I don't know how people do it here and I've lived here all my life. With my parents permission I moved out at 17...I had just graduated and had the money so what could they really do? I rented an apartment for three months and then bought a fixer upper that was going into foreclosure...made a deal on the courthouse steps...one of the many good decisions that I have made that helped me become wealthy... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

I steeled myself for another weekend of fighting, screaming, moving furniture, and makeupsex last night as they started yelling and dragging furniture. By midnite I realized they were also slamming the door and going up and down the stairs a lot. They're moving out, must have spent the night at their new place, I slept in until the sun came up this morning for the first time in months if not years! THANK YOU GLP EFFECT!!!! Before you get too excited, remember there will be new neighbors and potentially worse noise. I've lived in apartments my whole adult life and I've learned that new neighbors usually mean new noises (and sometimes smells-yuck)you have to learn to tolerate. I now am getting particular about the apartments I rent. I want the top floor (nobody above to stomp), I look for places that are not child friendly, ie; no playground or park close(no offense to parents but I don't have kids and don't want to listen to it when I'm home), and try to rent from a small time landlord instead of large complex (they have more of a vested interest in the quality of their tennants and keeping their property maintained. I also stay away from any place that accepts section 8 because someone who doesn't pay for something typically doesn't treat it like it has any value. May I suggest investing in a good set of earplugs and a fan or white noise machine..those have saved my sleep many nights. "Fortune, honour, beauty, youth are but blossoms dying. They're doing it right now. They wake me up at 2 am, 5 am, and go at it for a minimum of 45 min at a time, sometimes 2 hours. Seriously. Quoting: Exhausted 5542489 I was young and horny myself but these people beat any record I could have held. I don't know how she can walk the next day. They throw furniture, jump from dining room to bed to sofa - we have paper-thin walls here, I have to turn up the volume on my radio to drown them out - and it's embarrassing to run into them the next day and act like nothing. One of these days they're going to bust through my ceiling. I now know why men like the crazy girls. She's on disability for bipolar and when she is manic she must want to fuck every hour. She doesn't work so all that energy goes into throwing furniture around (yeah she does it when home alone too) and jumping his bones when he gets home from work. I used to find it humorous but now it's just annoying. Maybe I should record them and put it on YouTube. Seriously I have never heard the likes of it in my life and I've live a long time. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Knock at the door, and ask them if they want to play Swingers, and you'll substitute for the dude, as you'll be a different sexual partner! BUT they just sold to a big corporation and the manager got her notice to leave on Christmas Day, not a good omen. Yikes! I wish you good luck and hope things pan out. I found my best apartments either on craigslist or by driving around neighborhoods looking for signs. I currently live in an upstairs/downstairs duplex where the landlord and his wife live below me. Its ideal and I plan on staying as long as they'll let me, plus the rent is amazing too. Another thing when you look for a new place again; the older the building, the thicker the walls. Look for something built before 1940-they used plaster for the walls and copper piping for the water so they are very insulated and quiet. The one thing to check for with these buildings though is if they have new windows or you will pay a fortune to heat/cool them. Check out older neighborhoods. Many people are rehabbing wonderful old buildings these days. They have amazing character like hardwood floors, fireplaces, awesome woodwork, mature trees in the area.
