It's probably relatively harmless. Not that they shouldn't try to fix this because I doubt it's COMPLETELY harmless, but it's not like it's super radioactive or something. |
Burt Gummer User ID: 7702124 United States 12/06/2012 09:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Jim Albertini, of Malu ‘Aina said “DOH action is needed to investigate what’s causing uranium showing up in Big island resident’s urine. Is it uranium weapons that have been fired at [the Pohakuloa Training Area] or something else? Three MDs and a Naturopathic doctor have patients who have tested high for uranium in urine, including levels exceeding three times the upper expected limit.” Quoting: Huckelberry [link to enenews.com] Does anyone have this REPORT ? Is this a mutagen ? :sheepmilk: |

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. |

Citizenperth User ID: 28986234 Australia 12/06/2012 10:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | so far... and yes we know it was fukushima, why keep paddling in a puddle about it... they reported extensively about adding boron to the cattle feed there in the earlier days to soak up radiation to the milk supply, so this is extremely plausible.... Uranium fact(?) sheet [link to www.google.com.au] updates: [link to honoluluweekly.com] Honolulu weekly letter with links to articles. (purports DU may be the culprit)... however a study in 1999 denies the use of DU on the island. Alpacalips User ID: 28896647 United States 12/06/2012 10:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Uh oh, I'm going there next month. I used to live in Maui. You could see the island where the military used to practice bombing from the South shore. It is called Kaho’olawe. I wonder if that has anything to do with it [link to adventuremaui.com] ". By the mid 70’s a coalition to save Kaho’olawe was formed, and members of the Protect Kaho’olawe Ohana filed suit requesting that the United States Navy be required to issue an environmental impact report, as well as survey the island to protect all historical sites. In 1981, Kaho’olawe was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This still wasn’t enough for a cease fire. The military was allowed to continue their practices, however this time limited to just a portion of the island. It wasn’t until 1990 that President George Bush issued a memorandum directing the military to cease using Kaho’olawe as a weapons range. Kaho’olawe and its surrounding waters were returned to the state, and the Hawaiian people. Unfortunately the aina (land) was soiled with contaminants and riddled with unexploded ordnance. The island was deemed unsafe and uninhabitable. In 1998 the United States Navy began a federally funded 10 year cleanup program which fell far short of its goal of restoring the land. At this time portions of the island are now safe but many others remain unsafe." Last Edited by Alpacalips on 12/06/2012 10:23 PM |

Citizenperth User ID: 28986234 Australia 12/06/2012 10:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How could they find "Uranium from F'Shima" Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29226991 in the Urine ofthe People in Hawaii? Please Cp. explain, you are one of the most noisy ones and you always try to show your huge knowledge about nuclear Isotopes! very simply, smart arse... all reactors have a unique signature, isotopes from a particular reactor all have their own footprint.... ... repost: OK... Every nuclear plant has a specific start/continuation/end date.... yes? From deciphering the half life of any element detected (short-life), it is possible to deduce the source by nature of the dated material. Longer life material are harder to determine, however - use electrospectrometers and other tools, it is possible to work out the "other" elements collected in the sample. These 'elements' can be deduced to only come from a particular source/location/time in reference to the source..... do that.. and they will pinpoint the source.... [link to en.wikipedia.org] there are so many different and canstantly decaying/changing isotopes, it is like a road map back to the point of origin. to put it in lay terms (which you seem to require) A BMW, Citroen, Mini and Mitzubishi are all vehicles right?... I can tell you from inspection which one comes from Japan....... ;) Last Edited by CitizenPerth™ on 12/06/2012 11:01 PM It's life as we know it, but only just. Quantity makes the poison, are they talking about exceptional amounts above what you'd expect to be leached from local rock? Quoting: Fred 1081195 that is the question, isn't it?... interesting to note that it was medical professionals that had the sense and funds to get tested and how high the results were....
