It's not very big obviously so I got creative trying to get it as comfortable as I could for both sleeping and a sitting room. I sure got a good deal on those futons, 435 a piece at JYSK. They're really comfortable! I now have 4 futons in the house, 2 down and 2 up, call me the futon queen, love them! |

Who gives a flying shit about knotty pine when they bring your house down on your head. If you are bugging in you need to be in a fortified defendable space, not stuck below deck trapped like a rat in its hole. How are you planning on successfully defending that position OP? I would simply torch your house trapping you and let it collapse on you. You probably have one way out and would be easily picked when trying to get out. Congrats though, it a deally place to be burried in. |

Seeing as how nothing willhappen , all the asthetic work wont go to waste. Youll have plenty of time to enjoy your newly remodeled fun room. I sense you probably dont believe in it too much. Otherwise you eould have spent the labor and funding to equip with things that will be essential to sustaining a decent life. Generators/fuel, food/water, clothing/blankets&sleeping bags, tools/weapons. |

Most people come here in the summer and sleep in tents in our back yard. |

KateSask (OP) User ID: 15170057 Canada 12/09/2012 08:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | any pics of the reno project while it was in progress? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27180401 I was just curious about the foundation and insulation Just a couple of pics I took during the reno's but the ceiling was almost done. I'll up load them. Our house was built in 1974, so the basement was done with concrete, it only has 3 small windows, 2 in the bedroom and 1 in the laundry room. The basement is almost completely below ground because back then they didn't have codes to follow. You can get out of the bedroom windows if need be, we did put new windows in it. As far as the insulation, it's the rolls of fiberglass pink stuff. LOL Here's a pic during the reno. It used to be a dark burgundy. :duringreno: Last Edited by KateSask on 12/09/2012 09:06 PM |
