Worried to death

I had a problem with bed bugs, someone suggested I use Diatomaceous earth. I bought a bag at the local hardware store. I dusted EVERYTHING!! waited a day then vacumed it up with the exception of what I had put on my mattress. I have a cat who was very curious about all this and was of course sniffing every thing as well. Now I am told that I had used a non food grade product which is VERY harmful to both me and my cat. I am worried to death that I have done a terrible thing. Please HELP!!!! anyone[youtube]
