Interesting concept.
Information is terms of energy would follow the laws of thermodynamics, which could give the appearance of evolving
and replicating patterns. An ethereal data stream of information can also be altered via contact with other data streams. But to say that information is alive implies a biological process. Information is dynamic, but not alive.
