I think Michigan law makers have realized they can't afford it anymore. Add to that the unions and union shops pigeon hole the employee into singular tasks. There was a time when a union was needed but it doesn't take much to see how corrupt and power driven they have become.

Look at South Carolina. Right to work. Huge unemployment numbers and the employers dont pay shit. I spent 4 years in College then 2 years in a undergrad program. I`m in College Debt up to my NECK.

8 years after college I`m still paying the loans and after a $120,000 college "investment" I`m making $12 an hour with no benefits at all and my last two employers can fire me, put my family on the street - just because he`s having a bad day.

The only way for me to make a decent living is to move up North and pray I can land a decent paying job. The only "growth" down south is $8 an hour jobs at McDonalds and Walmart.

In my immediate area of upstate South Carolina we had 13 manufacturing plants close in the last 15 years. Close to 15,000 decent paying jobs - GONE. Whats replaced these jobs? Walmarts and Retail. What does that cause? It causes small businesses and entrepeanuers OUT of business because they simply cannot compete with cheap Chinese labor and goods.

Its a catch 22. Washington has sold us out for their own greed. To top that off mainstream media along with Fox News has created a generation of degenerates that think the POOR are to blame for the increase in poverty.
