Funny, because a day or two ago I wrote some threads that indicated that the Sumerian writings predated the Bible, etc. Its like the entire thread was hijacked from zealots trying to prove otherwise, with many posts being some what abusive. Why? Hey, I'm all about keeping an open mind and pursuing knowledge, I just understand why some get so riled up to "prove" their religion/idealogies, etc.???

Really am at a loss, I don't understand the anger, bitterness, and win at all costs dogma?

If we were on a ship that was sinking and you were below deck sleeping, would it not be selfish of me to get on the only life boat and sail off when i had plenty of time to wake you up so you could be saved? We are all sleeping on a ship that is going down.

Nice hypothetical scenario, but that's not the case. What we have is Christians who are compelled to try and save people from their God because they don't believe He [can/will] do it Himself.
