Looks like this was a doozy. Not sure if anyone specific was targeted or if this was just aimed at showing the opposition can target key regime facilities -

Power outages would be expected. The power is often cut when the news gets dramatic. But the reporting of heavy clashes is particularly interesting and should be watched closely.

It's also important to note that there's no idea yet how much damage there is to the ministry, or its occupants.

A bomb struck the main entrance to Syria's interior ministry on Wednesday in the southwest Damascus district of Kfar Sousa, state television said, according to AFP news agency.


"An explosion rocked the district of Kfar Sousa, and initial reports say a bomb targeted the main entrance to the interior ministry," the broadcaster said on Wednesday.

Clearly, some people were hurt (that looks like blood), and the damage was extensive.

Still no word on injuries or deaths.

According to sources, the Kafer Souseh district is on complete lockdown.

The video supposedly of the site of the blast REEKS of propaganda. There may have been a huge blast, people may have been killed, but I don't trust that video...

Who do you believe....This is from Syria state controlled media (supposedly) and Al Jazeera is controlled by western intelligence.
