Re: I'm going to quit my job soon
I don't blame you for quitting. Unless you have a fantastic job, most places are not offering enough money to even live as a single person. Even jobs that require skill, training or degrees are only paying around 12 bucks an hour, which is barely enough for groceries and gas. It's ridiculous on so many levels. That's why I just stopped dealing with it myself. I haven't worked since last year and I'm happier.

How do you support yourself?

I am back in school (again) and I'm getting student loans... I only get about 11K a year from that.
The rest of my money I earn from selling marijuana by the ounce or larger. Obviously not everyone is going to be able to do what I do and most people wouldn't even want to, but it works for me so much better than wasting my time making $15 bucks an hour and living in a city where the average rent is $1500+ a month.
I know a lot of people will think I'm trashy, or a liar, but I'm neither of those things. I'm just tired of paying into a system that's working against me.

I can accept that. What you are selling is MUCH safer than alcohol and all the psychotropic drugs that the shrinks/doctors prescribe to people. I would love to relocate and start working in the Medical/Legal Marijuana industry but unfortunately my friends & family are located in the opposite end of the country where those opportunities exist. I woud love to help manage/run a dispensary.

Yeah, it's just weed. I wouldn't even have the clientele to sell other substances anyway. I would love to work in or own a dispensary as well. Medicinal marijuana was legalized where I live but nothing has been done about it and that was like 2 years ago. I mean the big problem with what I do is not the weed, it's the fact that it's illegal and sketchy at times. But, oh well. Beats using my lame real estate degree to get a job at target, lol.

Look up Markus Rothkranz on Youtube and the web.
He has some pretty cool stuff on living outside the box. Lots of free videos and info (and books and dvds you can choose to buy or not.)

(Keywords with his name: prosperity, free living)

Yes

a job is just this as job for income. period.

They can f*** you over good just because you need income.

But this is the key

learn to make your own income.

Then you don't have to deal with the beast system.

Re: I'm going to quit my job soon
There are jobs and there are careers - both can be changed and are on a regular basis by people at all ages. I never liked looking for jobs because I ended up doing something I didn't like. However I chose a career that was open-ended and had to quit when ill. That was a heart breaker because we ended up losing everything and went through a bankruptcy. Best thing that ever happened in hind sight. If it's time for a change then take some time to get in touch with what you are good at and want to put time in doing.

We spent a year driving around in an RV before settling back down in another state closer to family. It was good because they have now passed over and our child had an opportunity to spend time with grandparents while they were here. The key focus is to have faith in your own ability to move forward in a positive direction.

They have been stonewalling the implementation of the medical MJ laws in NJ as well, so I figured I would ask. Took 2 years for a non-profit center to finally open after the bill was signed into law.

Re: I'm going to quit my job soon
I need a cathartic thread like this. I'm quitting my fucking job. Had an office space moment today like no other. I was making 50% what I am now when I was 15, in 90's dollars just mowing lawns and working at mcdonalds part-time. Crappy company can't buy new computers but wants more productivity and our comps are like hand me downs from a mid 90's elementary school. These jobs are for people who don't even know about glp. Tards. Fuck this. All of us need to start fulfilling our potential. wall

I just quit my job as a derivatives broker a few weeks ago, walked away from all this $$ and all those greedy spineless assholes. Best decision I've ever made.

Only problem is, with a background in military intelligence and financial derivatives brokering I'm not sure how to translate that experience...both jobs went from the idea of me doing a great and noble thing to being some of the most soul sucking adventures I could imagine.

Only thing now is... I have no idea wtf to do. 1dunno1
