[link to imagenic.net] The guy appears ONLY in this scene, doesn't say a peep, but the camera stays on him like he's something important, and he totally looks like that radio host. Makes you think... Fascinating movie, could well be the new reality coming to a town near you (maybe cept the looper part) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14443159 Philadelphia Experiment, Project Pegasus, Montauk Experiment... According to Andrew Basiaggo and Laura M. Eisenhower, among others, the US Military dabbles into time travel for 30 years or so. "Do or do not. There is no try." (Yoda) |

The problem with time travel having already been invented, is that if it were the case a person could take 10$ and turn it into 100 billion in even a year if they absolutely knew what was coming and when. It only takes roughly 30 doublings to have 10 billion, from there, less than 10 more and you've got a trillion. Results could be reached quicker utilizing stocks that increase exponentially, allowing many doublings in one single transaction. End result, is that anyone coming back in time would take over the world really quickly. |

Look you are missing two obvious things... one is that the reality you see on the tv and the reason you are on this site is that people do accumulate vast fortunes and if this did exist it would be highly controlled like printing money but even under tighter lock and key and also remember there have to be buyers... if a stock does not have a buyer of the 'doubling' stock, then there is nothing there... the reason we have a slow whirpool down a drain... a big hole will suck too much out for too many... a small drain hole over a long time surface will extrapolate the most wealth from a society without collapsing it. This is real and it exists but just thank your lucky stars you are not relevant enough to encounter it... if you do see it, walk the other way unless you want to follow the white rabbit down the hole... i'd rather sit here in a cozy library and type on this computer to relay the message... the movie is nutty. |

Thank you very much! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28791484 Thinking about moving to china and not paris! The movie shows the US as a third world shithole by 2045 and China as a shining glamorous empire... Yeah well you know what, bring it on. I would welcome a 3rd world shithole America so that we can all take some time to learn what is fucking IMPORTANT in life. Let's get back to subsistence and agriculture, running tons of pot and opium from our massive fields that cannot be adequately opposed by a weakened government whose employees can be bribed. If America were more like Colombia, life would be FUN and exciting and families would grow stronger. I hope that is where we are headed I really do. Would rather have local warlords controlling the USA than some fuckhead in DC. |

But maybe we shouldn't be selfish and greedy and wish for the country to become broke. Lets just move to Ethiopia or something. Or something. |
